Let's Get White

(How To Wear the Color of the Season)

The color white has reinvented itself this season and has made a comeback. If you follow few rules, you can keep it crisp, classic, clean and pretty. But if not, then poor white. It just gets you a bad rap. It makes you untidy and lousy.

The malls in Manila are flooded with whites. White dresses that can instantly make one pretty and classy, white bags that make the perfect sophisticated statement with any outfit, white shirts and pants that make you look clean and fresh. But how do you really wear white?

Let's begin with the rules:
Rule one: Stay clean. You left your dressing room wearing white. At the end of the day you're expected to be in the same color.

Rule two: White pumps are hard to pull off ‑- even if you're trying to achieve a very '80s look. Stick to sandals.

Rule three: Don't wear anything too colorful under which just spoils the idea of wearing white.

Rule four: White shoes and stockings are a no-no ‑- unless of course you are a nurse.

Nothing says sexier than wearing white with much confidence. White-on-white these days is a yes-yes (meaning you can wear a white pants plus a white shirt or a white skirt plus a white blouse). Gone were the days that you can be fooled going to a funeral when you're in white. But if all white isn't you ball, you can also try the mix game. White pants plus a dark blue printed blouse, or a floral blouse plus white skirt. They can also be gorgeous.

Add a big wristwatch and a gold sandal as the finishing touch to that white outfit you have on, and voila ‑- "nautical chic" is your new look.

The Poetry in Her Mind

Self. Selflessness. Selfishness.

Charm. Beauty.

Individuality and uniqueness.

Love. Desire. Obsession. Passion

Friendship plus possibility.

Patiently waiting yet with a conviction to leave.

Doubt. Fear.

Certainty versus uncertainty.

Empathy. Apathy. Sympathy.

First steps and last impressions.

I live with words I cannot weave.

I live in a poetry I cannot write

(Ladies, we get confused at times-- right? I've written this poem just when I wanted to write about someone and yet I coudn't weave my words since my ideas about that person were just fleeting. I couldn't assess how I felt then. And so the words just jumped out of my head. Hence the poem was created. And guess what? I fell in love with it. I love the jumping words! You can never deny it, It's fun being a lady!)**
